Short Term Disability

The University provides short-term disability to all monthly full-time employees during the regular contract year for absences due to a medical leave.  This is provided to an employee at the onset of their employment. Short-term disability only pays when the employee is off due to a serious medical condition and not a family member. The policy is administered by The Standard.  All claims will need to be approved by Standard before the benefit is paid out. Bradley University pays the full premium for this benefit.

Full-time regular employees’ salary payments will be continued by the University according to the following schedule:

  • 1st month – 100% of salary
  • 2nd month – 80% of salary
  • 3rd - 6th months – 60% of salary
