Our Mission

The mission of the Springboard Business Plan Competition is to provide real life experience in business plan development for Bradley University students.  This mission supports the university’s entrepreneurship major by continually encouraging and educating aspiring entrepreneurs in the creation, start up, and early growth stages of potentially high-growth businesses.

The Springboard Business Plan Competition will provide an opportunity for students to receive feedback and mentoring from successful entrepreneurs and venture capitalists.  Equally important, and even more exciting, is the opportunity that exists for the student teams to receive prize money for their ideas.  Winners will receive cash prizes for their plans or businesses and may also be eligible for additional benefits from competition sponsors.   It is also possible that additional funds may be available from venture capitalists, if mutually agreed upon by both parties.
